Endocrine gland surgery is the branch of surgery that treats conditions of the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals and endocrine pancreas.

Surgical treatment of endocrine diseases requires joint medical and surgical management. Patient files will therefore be discussed in specialized seminars.
Endocrine surgery is commonly performed open (thyroid, parathyroids, etc.), but also by laparoscopic means as for adrenal procedures, for example.

These diseases remain rare and require extensive surgical expertise. Pancreatic surgery is integrated into Highly Specialized Medicine, it is not performed at the Nyon Hospital but at the CHUV in Lausanne.
